What happened to lunch? Both dinner and brunch have earned their own set of loyalists, so where is the love for the midday affair? Well, food historian, Monica Askay, says, “[lunch began] as an accidental happening between meals.” In that case, it might be one of the most fortunate “accidents” to date!
Enjoying an afternoon out for lunch is a great Christmas gift idea for a unique set of reasons:
Lunch can happen on a regular day – Breakfast may escape us, and dinner may overwhelm, but lunch? It almost always happens. It’s exactly how lunch came to be. Lunch can be a practical, yet special occasion for someone who might work in an office, a friend you don’t often see, or of course, a fellow foodie!
