We’re Hiring!

 |  By

Hi everyone! So, maybe you’ve heard, but Vancouver Foodie Tours is HIRING! We’re looking for people with strong leadership abilities, charisma, a wonderful sense of humor, excellent communication skills and a deep passion for Vancouver and its food. Leading a food tour is a combination of quick thinking on your feet, advanced storytelling, and guiding guests from one location to the next. Every tour is rewarding, eye-opening, and different – you’ll meet people from all over the world with totally different stories!

Call it the cherry on top, but you’ll be joining a team of really awesome individuals. Somehow, we manage to be charming, delightful, good-looking and witty, all the same time. Also, we’re really into food. On a more humble note, I will honestly say that I am consistently floored and inspired by the passion behind each of us that ultimately fuels everything that we do. We’ve put together a little something to help you with your application and for you to get to know us – we look forward to hearing from you!

Andrew

Andrew
Aka: Foodie Monk, Pink Foodie

Tours: Guilty Pleasures Gourmet Tour, World’s Best Food Truck Tour
Roots: Proudly born and raised on the West Coast!
Passions:  Travelling – Andrew always aims to combine arts/culture/dining experiences
VFT Charm:  Andrew knows Vancouver – food, history, and people.  And for what he doesn’t know, it won’t be long until he finds out. With a hunger for knowledge, a knack for storytelling, and a contagious sense of humour, Andrew continues to win the hearts and satisfy the stomachs of our VFT guests!

WE ASKED ANDREW:
Q: If you could be one food, what would you be?
A: BBQ ribs. They’re a fun and happy food that’s also substantial.

Q: In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic of being a Vancouver Foodie Tour Guide?
A: One important characteristic is to love food, people, and sharing.  Okay that’s more than one – but it’s like fish and chips – they go hand in hand.

Joyce

Joyce
Aka. Lil’ Dumpling (LD)

Tours: Guilty Pleasures Gourmet Tour
Roots: Cowtown – Calgary, AB.  Breathing the fresh ocean air since 2008.

VFT Charm:  Joyce fell in love with Vancouver and will forever be enamored with its extensive food scene.  As the writer for our Vancouver food blog and the buzz behind our social channels, she is constantly eating her way through the city and spreading the word on Vancouver’s best products, restaurants, and culinary culture.

WE ASKED JOYCE:
Q: If you could be one food, what would you be?
A: Like my nickname, a little dumpling! It’s a comfort food that’s filled with surprise!

Q: In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic of being a Vancouver Foodie Tour Guide?
A: A passion for people…and a steady hand to pour tea!

Manuela

Her signature Vancouver Foodie Tours song (that caught our attention in our original Facebook hiring contest) has become a highlight of her tour experience! You won’t want to miss it!

WE ASKED MANUELA:
Q: If you could be one food, what would you be?
A: An empanada. I’m warm, a little spicy and most enjoyable in hot weather!

Q: In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic of being a Vancouver Foodie Tour Guide?
A: The best quality in a VFT guide is a “whatever it takes” attitude. Always doing all they can to ensure a fantastic and fun filled foodie experience.
