On Sunday, March 20, 2016, bakeries around Vancouver will celebrate Macaron Day. The “Jour du Macaron” originated in Paris, France to mark the first day of Spring and as an occasion to raise funds for charity. In Vancouver, patisseries are proudly supporting charitable organizations like the BC Cancer Foundation, Covenant House, St. Paul’s Hospital and more.
Vancouver Foodie Tours is proud to partner with Faubourg Paris to celebrate Macaron Day.
Faubourg will be offering its signature macarons for $1 (half off the regular price) and donating 100% of gross proceeds to BC Cancer Foundation, the largest funder of cancer research in the province.
In 2015, Faubourg’s three locations collectively raised $14,000 for BC Cancer Foundation. Macarons flew off the shelves, leaving the glass cases empty by 2:00pm.
