Easter Weekend in Vancouver

THINGS TO EAT in Vancouver on Easter Weekend:

ONE: Indulge in a sumptuous Easter Brunch

IMG_3286

Some occasions are made for brunch and Easter weekend is certainly one of them. We were a bit surprised that relatively few of the top restaurants in Vancouver have created special Easter menus this year, but we do know that places like Forage, Market by Jean-Georges, and Yew Restaurant are ready to celebrate in style. (We’d recommend a reservation!) Our favourite walk-in brunch places in Vancouver like Cafe Medina, Edible Canada at the Market (pictured above), Fable Restaurant and Heirloom Restaurant will all be open for regular service!

TWO: DIY Chocolate Hunt

Vancouver chocolatiers have really stepped up their game this year! We’ve spotted immaculate designs at Thomas Haas (pictured above) and cute Easter egg creations from Beta 5 Chocolates. You can truly make a day of tasting Easter chocolates around the city.

If you’ve got little ones with you this weekend, stop by Terra Breads for their colourful selection of Easter sugar cookies!

THREE: Enjoy the Finer Things at Easter High Tea

Neverland Tea Salon, Urban Tea Merchant and Fairmont Hotel Vancouver are all hosting special high teas for Easter. As you can expect, seatings are limited, so we would suggest making a reservation!

FOUR: Bring the family on a Foodie Tour

VFT-046

We’re running all three of our Foodie Tours this Easter weekend! Have a brunch to remember on our The Granville Island Public Market Tour – we’ll bring you to the front-of-the-line at our favourite stops at the infamous Public Market. If you’re looking to impress, join us for the Guilty Pleasures Gourmet Tour and taste Vancouver’s best restaurants and top BC wines. And finally, if you’re up for adventure, fresh air, and serious eats, come along for the World’s Best Food Truck Tour!

Things to See in Vancouver on Easter Weekend:

FIVE: See the Giant Chocolate Egg at Chocolatas at the Granville Island Public Market

Thomas Haas

It’s giant. You just have to see it to believe it.
(We got this picture from Granville Island – apparently his name is Duke!)
Hint: If you ask Chocolatas if they have any samples today, they usually have something sweet to share!

SIX: Take in the view at the top of Grouse Mountain

Okay, okay, we know the Grouse Grind might not be the first thing on your list for Easter Weekend…but the Easter Brunch at the top looks divine! (Don’t worry, the ticket price includes the gondola ride up.)

Things to Do in Vancouver on Easter Weekend:

SEVEN: Get your Cronut on at Swiss Bakery

Frissant

The bakery that brings you Vancouver’s version of the Cronut will be hosting a special Kids Design Workshop on Sunday! We highly recommend testing out the sweet treats while your kiddos explore their creativity. Click here for tickets and details.

EIGHT: Hop on the Stanley Park Easter Train

The timeless Stanley Park miniature train is decked out for Easter! There are train rides and Easter egg hunts throughout the weekend, but purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Ps – bring your own basket to the Easter egg hunt for optimal collection!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter weekend, Foodies! We hope to see you soon!
