In 2005, President and Founder of Edible Canada, Eric Pateman, found a method to the madness. His food tasting tour – a guided, immersive, delicious adventure – was the first of its kind on Granville Island.
Today, we host the Granville Island Market Tour in partnership with Edible Canada. We’ve designed the experience to combine our favourite, unmissable flavours of the Market with the stories of the people behind them.

As the crown jewel of Granville Island, the Public Market is the driving force behind the 10 milliion visits Granville Island receives each year.
What people don’t realize? Upwards of 75% of that traffic comes from locals – chefs, families, wanderers, and the family businesses themselves. This is the beating heart of Vancouver’s culinary scene.
While the Public Market may dazzle with colourful towers of fruit, tantalizing smells, and animated shopkeepers, ask anyone who calls the Market home; the real magic is in the community.
