What’s your role at Vancouver Foodie Tours?

I’m on the Operations Team! On Saturdays and Sundays, I coordinate the behind-the-scenes details and make sure our Foodie Tours run seamlessly.

Where have you travelled?

I’ve spent extended periods of time exploring Spain, Hawaii and South Africa, but I’m most proud to say I’ve visited every Canadian province and territory.  

What’s a food you absolutely cannot resist?

Lemon desserts and cinnamon buns are my weakness. 

What does food mean to you?

Food is comforting, celebratory, adventurous and nostalgic.  It brings people together.  It nourishes the body, but also the soul.  But ultimately, food is love.  In my family, you never leave Grandma’s or mom’s house without a few mason jars of soup and something sweet.

What’s a fond food memory you’ve had?

Lobster dinner on Prince Edward Island, traditional pig roast at Hawaiian luau, the Gastronomic Gastown Tour with Tracy when I first moved to Vancouver.

Why do you love Vancouver?

Having grown up on the prairies, I feel incredibly blessed to call Vancouver home. I love living next to the ocean, mountains and forest, the mild winters, the flowers that bloom all year long, and the wide variety of restaurants.  There’s no end to the adventures you can have!
