Stunning as ever, JJ Bean’s newest location preserves the original 1913 architecture of the Labour Temple on Dunsmuir and Richards St in Downtown Vancouver
Wishing a big congratulations to the JJ Bean team on their newest downtown home! The space is clean and calm; a serene combination of old and new. With chairs, bar stools, and a “group-sized” high-top table, the Dunsmuir location is an ideal place for casual business meetings and those in need of wifi. Directly across from Holy Rosary Cathedral, the new cafe bridges the gap between the bustling downtown core and the edges of Gastown.
Featured on our Granville Island Market Tour, the original JJ Bean has humble beginnings in the Public Market. Established in 1996 by John Neate Jr, the family-operated business has loyally served Vancouver with premium coffee (including single-origin beans), delicious baked goods, and trendy hangout spaces. At the moment, JJ Bean operates solely in Vancouver, but is said to open cafes in Toronto later this year.
